Kent Meeting For Foster Parents Input

Kent Support Group- 1624 Quarterly Meeting

Description: We are very excited to be hosting this quarter's 1624 Meeting at the Kent Support Group.

 

Please join us this evening for a wonderful opportunity to both listen and have your voice heard. We hope you can join us! 

 

The Mission of the CAFPT ( also known as the 1624 Team) is “to improve the well being and protection of all children in foster and relative care, and to enhance and strengthen services for children and caregivers in the state of Washington.” The CAFPT was created in 2007 under Engrossed Substitute House Bill (ESHB) 1624 and directs CA to “Consult at least quarterly with foster parents, including members of the foster parent association of Washington state, for the purpose of receiving information and comment regarding how the department is performing the duties and meeting the obligations specified in this section and RCW 74.13.250 and 74.13.320 regarding the recruitment of foster homes, reducing foster parent turnover rates, providing effective training for foster parents, and administering a coordinated and comprehensive plan that strengthens services for the protection of children. Consultation shall occur at the regional and statewide levels.” Dinner and Childcare provided.

Nominations For Foster Parents Needed!

The Mission of the CAFPT ( also known as the 1624 Team) is “to improve the well being and protection of all children in foster and relative care, and to enhance and strengthen services for children and caregivers in the state of Washington.”

The CAFPT was created in 2007 under Engrossed Substitute House Bill (ESHB) 1624 and directs CA to “Consult at least quarterly with foster parents, including members of the foster parent association of Washington state, for the purpose of receiving information and comment regarding how the department is performing the duties and meeting the obligations specified in this section and RCW 74.13.250  and 74.13.320  regarding the recruitment of foster homes, reducing foster parent turnover rates, providing effective training for foster parents, and administering a coordinated and comprehensive plan that strengthens services for the protection of children. Elections occur each year in the regions. CAFPT regional representatives are volunteers who are elected for two year terms on a staggered basis.  You may nominate yourself or another licensed foster parent from your area who is interested in helping shape our service delivery for children in foster care and their caregivers here in Washington.
